Tony Peniche- Creativity and Business Incubators in the Heart of American Cool

Fewer places have garnered such a reputation for being ''happening'',''hipster'' or ''cool'' in the last decade that Portland, Oregon. The creative energy and influx of young, ambitious and exciting people to the area even spawned its own satirical television show, which whilst it mocked the scene in Portland, also portrayed just how cool and happening it really is. The city now has a reputation for its thriving musical and arts scenes, as well as being a fertile place for young and old entrepreneurs to bring their exciting new ideas to the market and help them grow. Any modern fashionable business grown in the past decade, especially in the consumable products markets, would have a strong chance of having originated in Portland, Oregon.

For start-up and crowd funding expert  Anthony Peniche – Taking a Business to the Community means allowing entrepreneurial pursuits to thrive and give opportunities to all who want to start companies. To create an atmosphere and environment where such businesses can grow requires many factors, and Portland Oregon has captured them all. There is always the case of people having and earning enough money to buy the products, which with its high professional employment, Portland has.

However before this stage, a business needs as much help as it can get to get the wheels turning and gain some momentum. This brings us to a new phenomenon that has emerged in major cities across the world- the freelance and creative spaces. As more and more people have the opportunity to work where they like, ''creative spaces'' have arisen to allow people to work in these good environments.

Tony Peniche was the founder of one such space, NXT Industries, a 5,000 square foot converted building. Tony curated the space for freelancers, entrepreneurs and artists to bring together a collection of exciting and innovative minds to grow and cultivate their ideas. For entrepreneurs looking to set up their companies and be in an environment conducive to learning, creativity and positivism, is a great chance for them to have a platform on which to build. Furthermore, the presence of other individuals in similar pursuits can increase networking opportunities, and help them work with each others ideas and grow together. This has helped cities like Portland become the place that is always at the frontier of change and progress, and is an exciting times for all entrepreneurs looking to get the wheels in motion for successful business practice. Tony Peniche- New Opportunities for New Ideas

One of the greatest revelations in the world of business, commerce and enterprise in the past decade has been the rise of crowd-funding and kick-starter style websites. In many ways, these revolutionary ideas encapsulate the modern world of business, and have given rise to numerous exciting and innovative companies and designs. In the past, good ideas didn't always mean they would have the chance to become a reality. The competitive world of business meant that finding an investor was hugely reliant on contacts, and being in the right place at the right time. Now, using crowd funding websites and kick starter campaigns, there is more opportunities than ever for ambitious entrepreneurs to get their ideas of the ground.

For Portland based entrepreneur and photographer Tony Peniche – Crowd funding Campaigns have truly revolutionized the way businessmen like himself approach new ideas in the market today. Portland has gained a reputation as being one of the most exciting hubs of creative minds in Th States today, so it s probably no surprise to learn that it is a city where crowd funding and kick-starters are thriving so readily. Tony Peniche is one of the leading minds an entrepreneurs in the city today, and has become something of an expert on the field. He regularly lectures at the University of Portland on topics such as entrepreneurial start-ups, crowd funding and kick-starter methods, and how to turn ideas and concepts into reality.

And he is not just a man who talks the talks. Tony has also taken huge practical steps to help cultivate creativity and enterprising attitudes in his home town. He was the founder of the legendary NXT Industries, a creative space for artists, freelancers and entrepreneurs to work, network and share ideas to help each others ideas grow and reach their full potential. Whilst NXT is one of hundreds of such spaces in the exciting city of Portland, NXT Industries is certainly one of the most impressive.

For Tony Peniche, crowd funding has shaped The American Dream and What it Means Today. It has given a new lease of life to the enterprising spirit that makes this nation so great, and helped ideas proliferate and grow more than any other point in history. For Tony Peniche, there is nothing more gratifying than being able to help others develop ideas, and make them a reality.

Tony Peniche – Taking Fashion to a Whole Other Level

Tony Peniche is a jack-of-all-trades. After two years at Western Oregon University he discovered that this wasn’t the right fit for him and then transferred to the Art Institute of Portland, where he was able to follow his dreams and pursue his passion of apparel design. Right after he received his degree in Apparel design, at the young age of 21, he began his career as a fashion designer. Several brands such as, Lamborghini, Motocorsa, 42 Bellow, Vodka, and Red Bull quickly sponsored him. Due to his amazing talent he actually became one of the youngest designers to show a label at Paris Fashion Week, which was an amazing opportunity for him to show all of his hard work and talent.

After the fashion show he made a large impact on the designer of Oscar de la Renta, Jose Solis and landed an internship under him in New York. This was a great opportunity and Jose Solis served as a very experienced mentor to Tony. Finally in 2012, after only 6 years of being a men’s fashion designer, the Portland Fashion and Style Awards awarded the Fashion Designer of the Year to Tony.

Tony Peniche knows the difference between style and fashion, which is what has helped him be so successful in the fashion industry. So what is the difference between style and fashion? In recent years the concept of personal styles has been on the rise especially with so much available social media to discover various styles and so forth. For many people style is much more than just what you wear; it is a representation of who you are. The objective of style is to encompass your personality, your interests, and the statements you want to make to the world. Your style becomes an avenue for you to publically share your voice and to do so in such a simple way. The difference with fashion is that it focuses on various trends and thus it evolves over time. Fashion becomes more of an art form and for fashion designer’s it is an opportunity to create new trends and potentially influence the development of individual’s personal styles.

Tony Peniche goes a step further by making a bold fashion statement in business. Tony is not afraid to set new trends and try new things in the business world. He is always looking for something new and is not afraid of taking a little risk on something that he believes has potential

Tony Peniche – The American Dream and What it Means Today

America was born as the land of opportunity. In 1931, historian James Truslow Adams wrote “life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement,” regardless of social class or circumstances of birth. This was the beginning of the concept of “The American Dream,” which would later go on to influence and persuade thousands of immigrants to leave their homes in pursuit of streets paved with gold. Admittedly, this notion is a bit exaggerated; anyone who has been to New York knows that the streets are far from golden. But the core concept of the “American Dream” – equal opportunity for all – is still very much alive today.

In what other country could a barely 30 year-old entrepreneur establish several successful brands of men’s fashion, open a revolutionary creative development corporation that builds and manages office-studio spaces for creative professionals, and invent a patented line of laser-etched pieces of wood that can upgrade any bottle of whiskey to top-shelf quality in just 24 hours. Not only has Tony Peniche achieved all of these, he has also managed to find time to contribute to the pursuits of his fellow entrepreneurs by giving talks at colleges like the University of Oregon and Portland State University about startup business strategies, and by providing free business consulting throughout his home city of Portland.

A self-proclaimed natural leader, Mr. Peniche made a name for himself in fashion while he was still a student at The Art Institute of Portland. In 2011 he was awarded by PDX 30 for being one of the topmost entrepreneurs under the age of 30, and the following year he was named Fashion Designer of the Year by the Portland Fashion & Style Awards.

Miraculously, Mr. Peniche has managed not to let his fame go to his head. On the contrary, he uses his formidable position in the business world to promote other startup up companies. One such company is Findlay Hats, which provides customers with customizable, personalized hats that are the perfect signature to any style. Like Mr. Peniche, Findlay Hats founder Jimmy Hickey was a true believer in the “American Dream.” This is why, in 2013, Mr. Hickey drained his bank account and invested all of his money into his idea for a hat company that would be unlike any other. Today, Findlay Hats is a profitable company that continues to “outfit and inspire true adventurers.”

America is indeed a land of opportunity for those who are willing to seek it out. And fortunately there are people like Tony P
